Guantanamo Bay was established shortly after the 9/11 terrorists attacks to imprison and interrogate accused terrorists from around the World.  The US has been under scrutiny for its use of such a camp, but has also garnered support for helping to protect the safety of American citizens and their allies.

Those in support of Guantanamo argue the risk the US would take in releasing inmates and also don’t support housing the inmates on US soil due to security risks and costs.

Those against keeping Guantanamo Bay open cite the financial burden placed on the US tax payers, as well as the US ‘s questionable interrogation methods and reasons for imprisonment.

The CWSL LLM in Trial Advocacy program published this Infographic to help educate the public about both sides of the issue, so that each individual can decide where they personally stand.
